JanPath is a village community app — notices, a calendar, events, an emergency alert system, and a directory, shared among the members of a village. This policy explains what data the app collects and why.
JanPath does not access your device's GPS or precise location — a village's location is a fixed point set by its operator, not tracked per user. We don't run ad tracking or sell your data to third parties. SOS alerts go only to members of your village, not to 108/100 emergency services.
JanPath never holds or processes money itself. Cash contributions are recorded by a collector as a receipt. "Pay via UPI" opens your own UPI app with the amount pre-filled — the payment happens directly between you and the recipient's UPI ID, not through JanPath's servers.
OTP codes are sent via a third-party SMS provider (Fast2SMS) for the sole purpose of delivering your login code.
